Recently I did a research at Hillert und Co. to find out how many of my co-workers have already set their custom usernames on facebook. It turned out that 30% still haven’t done so. I’m actually not quite sure why, because it’s a piece of cake and looks much prettier than facebook’s standard profile id.
All you need to do is visit this link and change your facebook id to a meaningful name, in my case it’s:
If you have already set a username before, but you had second thoughts and want to change it again, simply visit:
Account > Account Settings > Username
Facebook’s initial policy was not to allow users to change a username once it was set. But due to the arised dissatisfaction of the community, Mark Zuckerberg and co. had to forget about their “tattoo based” idea and give their users more control over their facebook profile.
